Chevrolet is coming to SEMA fully loaded, with this Inferno Orange COPO Camaro Convertible representing one of the more eye-catching models of its comprehensive lineup. 69 COPO Camaro race cars were built this year. This is one of only two convertible cars built, one of the 20 to get the 327 engine and Whipple supercharger rated at 550 horsepower and the only one to get a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission (hard as it is to believe they're still making three-speed transmissions when others have eight).

Only 12 units feature this striking shade of Inferno Orange Metallic paint, with other finishes including Black, Velvet Red and Silver Ice Metallic. It also features additional custom graphics and special interior trim. "The COPO Camaro program has been a special program," said GM veep Jim Campbell, "and there's not a better way to close out the 2012 racing season than with the final - and most unique - one of the production run." Chevy only planned on making 69 COPO Camaro models, but strong demand has meant a further batch of 69 units will be built for 2013.
