Make no mistake about it, the driver of this Corvette Z06 could very well have died in a very, very messy manner as a result of this grueling and disturbing accident. Just take a look at these following photos and you'll see what we mean. This nasty accident occurred last week on a highway in Los Angeles. Amazingly, the driver only suffered minor injuries despite the fact that fire crews had to raise the semi truck off of the Corvette in order to free him.

Details on the exact cause of the accident are still being investigated but when asked how he managed to avoid a far more serious injury, like his skull being smashed, the driver said he managed to duck a split second before the impact. Is that pure luck or just incredible timing?
