There's a grand tradition to shoehorning a big V8 engine into a much smaller car than it was originally intended for. Carroll Shelby could have told you all about that, and we get the feeling, despite his closer associations with Ford and Chrysler, that he'd have been quite impressed with this customized Chevy Spark. Replacing the tiny four-cylinder in this Bowtie hatchback is the 7.0-liter, 550-horsepower V8 from a Corvette. The result is a 0-62 time of just 3.7 seconds, reined in by custom steering and brakes.

Built by a Belgium tuner Fourdin Auto Sport, the Spark was also given a widebody kit, giant rear wing and 18-inch wheels. Recently up for grabs on eBay, it sold for about $55,000. The best part about it very well may be its engine note, which you can check out in this video.
