While we're still awaiting official word from General Motors regarding pricing for the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray, new information has come to light which indicates that it may cost more than we'd previously thought. GM Authority recently reported on the Race To Win A Corvette sweepstakes, whose grand prize has an approximate retail value of $82,610. However, $10,750 of that amount consists of hotel, flight, VIP, food and other related expenses. Do the math and the difference comes out to $71,860.

So could this be the C7's base price? Not likely, as GM Authority believes the grand-prize Corvette Stingray will be equipped with the Z51 Performance Package. But still, if that is in fact the final price, a 2014 Vette with the Z51 pack costs about as much as the outgoing Z06. Again, nothing is official just yet but this is our best indication yet as to how GM plans to price its new high-performance flagship.
