Japanese tuner works it magic on the American high-performance sports car.
Fledgling Japanese tuning house RK Design has started work on an aero kit for the ZR1 that will give the American supercar even more aggressive styling. There's really no need to mess with its potent 6.2-liter supercharged V8, capable of 638 hp and 604 lb-ft. Even "Maximum Bob" deemed the LS9 V8 the ideal unit for his Vette sedan project. Dubbed the Destino, it marries the guts of a Fisker Karma to the power of the ZR1. Brilliant, but we digress. RK Designs is simply looking to make a few cosmetic upgrades including a new front bumper with carbon-fiber side winglets and circular fog lamps.
At the rear, carbon-fiber winglets feature on the wheel arch, while a new diffuser, dual central exhausts, and slightly bigger wing and carbon-fiber roof diffuser can be found. The car sits on the company's own magnesium forged alloy wheels. RK Design also overhauled the interior, adding a new grey Alcantara dash and rear parcel shelf, accented with black leather and plastic and yellow stitching.
