Due to various factors, including supply chain disruptions and chip shortages, new car prices are skyrocketing and many consumers are being asked to pay well over MSRP. Finding a "deal" is tougher than ever, but thanks to companies like Costco, it's not impossible. The Costco Auto Program frequently offers member-only incentives that can save shoppers thousands on new vehicles. Earlier this year, Costco exclusively offered a $1,500 discount on various Cadillac models.

For the first time ever, Costco will introduce a certified pre-owned (CPO) incentive starting now through September 30, 2022. Members can receive $1,250 on select Volvo XC60 and Volvo XC90 models built from 2019 to 2021.

"Costco Auto Program is excited to begin delivering member-only incentives on CPO vehicles, starting with Volvo," said Jay Maxwell, Costco Auto Program General Manager. "In our past promotions on new Volvo models, the XC90 and XC60 topped sales. Now, Costco members can enjoy exclusive savings on Volvo's most popular CPO models."

Saving $1,250 on a certified used Volvo is a nice perk for Costco members, though looking back on the company's previous deals, the savings have been more substantial. In 2018, Costco gave members a $3,000 incentive on new Volvo vehicles, which goes to show that the deals are less impressive in 2022. But Volvo isn't the only manufacturer on the list of discounts.

Due to their popularity with members in previous programs, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD pickup trucks will qualify for a $1,000 discount plus any available Chevrolet incentives.

"The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD have the largest Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and greatest torque out of all heavy-duty pickup trucks in their class," said Maxwell. "This means Costco members who use this truck will have the power and capacity to handle tough jobs with ease. It's no surprise that this is a Costco member favorite."

Finally, although Costco won't offer a discount as in previous years, members can receive complimentary Audi Care when they purchase or lease select Audi models until October 3, 2022. This warranty is valued at $999 on the low end or up to $1,499 on the high end, depending on the model. It includes 10k/20k/30k/40k comprehensive maintenance services with online scheduling for a trouble-free ownership experience.

"This is the first time Audi has worked with a third party to promote Audi Care and offered their prepaid scheduled maintenance package complimentary on new vehicles," said Cory Benwell, General Manager at Costco Auto Program. "We're excited to extend this valuable maintenance package to Costco members during the Audi Care Special."
