The people behind it seem to think so.
We have already raved about the fastest and most powerful Lotus ever created, the new 3-Eleven. The Lotus 3-Eleven is damn fast with its 3.5-liter V6 making 450 horsepower. The car weighs just 1,984 pounds, giving it more than 500 horsepower per ton. It was able to set an insanely fast Nurburgring lap time of 7:06. However, Lotus test driver Marc Basseng says that the car could break seven minutes if it had the track to itself. Remember the Porsche 918 Spyder clocked 6:57 at The Ring.
The 3-Eleven's time came from two runs (best sector times combined). So, do you think the Lotus could actually take on Stuttgart's best? Here's a sample of Lotus testing the 3-Eleven on the ring to help you decide.
