The current Alfa Romeo Stelvio has proven itself to be a very accomplished SUV. With up to 503 horsepower on offer from the range-topping Quadrifoglio, it is very well placed to take on the established players like the Porsche Macan and new BMW X3 M40i. Rumors of a smaller crossover than the Stelvio have been doing the rounds for a while now although there has been no official confirmation of this from Alfa Romeo just yet.

So it was with some surprise that an Alfa Romeo customer in Winnipeg spotted what appeared to be a concept render of just such a car on his dealership's social media stream.

N/A

The Drive contacted both the dealership and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to get some clarification on the matter, but the dealership denied having posted the pic and FCA did not respond.

The image itself looks to be a composite of existing Alfa models, with the taillights resembling those found on the 4C Coupe and the door panels and window frames mimicking the ones fitted to the Stelvio. The Quadrifoglio-style wheels are familiar too and the very limited ground clearance clearly shows that this crossover is intended for on-road rather than off-road fun.

There is no way to know for certain whether this is just a random rendering posted onto social media by someone experimenting with photoshop, or an actual concept that was mistakenly leaked.

Either way, Alfa Romeo have announced their intentions to introduce a raft of new models, including SUVs within the next three years, so while this may just be a rendering, the real deal may be just around the corner.
