Mercedes announce G65 AMG will arrive this year priced north of $200,000.
It’s been three years since Mercedes introduced the G65 AMG to the world, but only now has the Silver Star deemed the USA worthy of having this wonderful creation on its roads. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG will hit showrooms this November and will carry a price tag of $217,900. That will make it the fourth model to join the $200,000 club, after the SL65, and S65 sedan and Coupe. Do a quick calculation and that comes in at over $80,000 more than the G63 AMG.
So what do you get for that extra cash? A 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 that’s good for 621 hp and a monstrous 738 lb-ft of torque. That will help the potent offroader to go from standstill to sixty in 5.3 seconds. It also comes with the electronic traction system, 4ETS, and three 100% differential locks.
