Shrimps on the carby.
We're big fans of racing games and are especially enamored with the Forza series. It's had its ups and downs over the 11 years since the first game was released, but on a whole we really enjoy playing them. One of the main reasons why we're so fond of the Forza franchise is that it seems to understand that lots of people enjoy cars for different reasons. From keeping them as stock and pristine as possible to modifying the hell out of them. And that's a sentiment that seems to perfectly sum up the just-announced game "Forza Horizon 3."
Announced at the E3 Expo (the gaming industry's equivalent of the Geneva Motor Show), "Forza Horizon 3" takes the esteemed racing franchise to the varied terrain of Australia: from sun-kissed beaches and lush forests, to the arid Outback and the awe-inspiring geological formations. Appropriately enough for such a stunning location there'll be tons of things to do in this open-world racing game. Along with having 350 cars to cruise around in (ranging from supercars like the Lamborghini Centenario cover car to imposing trophy trucks), players on the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs will also have an array of barmy "Showcases" and "Bucket List" events, along with a whole host of single-player and online multiplayer modes.
It's the new car customization bits that really intrigue us, however. In a first for the Forza franchise you can now fit wide body kits from the likes of Rocket Bunny and Liberty Walk to your virtual ride, and 30 new rim styles have been introduced for players to further personalize their cars. With the series' livery editor and the rally/off-road bits from "Forza Horizon 2" being carried over to this new game, we can't wait to see all the amazing and unique creations that players will come up with. And it won't be too long until we get to see the initial masterpieces from the Forza community as the game is set for release later this year on September 27th.
We perfectly understand if you can't wait until September 27th for this game. Unfortunately we can't do anything for you, but maybe this trailer will help scratch your itch.
