With a start price of just $59,995, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has a reputation for being a performance bargain, just like its predecessors. So with all that money saved, it's no surprise that the average C8 Corvette owner likes to splash out on optional extras. Chevrolet offers a range of accessories and packages, but if you want your C8 Corvette to stand out from the crowd there are plenty of companies offering aftermarket accessories. From carbon fiber body kits to new exhaust systems, there are more ways than ever to customize your Corvette.

But while most companies are selling custom parts for the exterior or interior, American Hydrocarbon, a company that specializes in custom parts for C4, C5, C6, C7, and C8 Corvettes, is taking a different approach.

If you want to personalize the engine bay, American Hydrocarbon are now selling colored engine covers for the mid-engine sports car's 6.2-liter V8.

Starting at $685, each engine cover is painted in one of the Corvette's 16 body colors with options including Red Mist, Arctic White, Black Silver Metallic. The side sills and lettering can also be finished in different colors and the C8 flag logos are all hand painted. You can even customize the engine cover with one of three available two-tone finishes for a more eye-catching look. These options will cost you an extra $200, bringing the total cost to $885.

Fitting matching valve covers cost an extra $550, bringing the total to $1,435. American Hydrocarbon will also buy back the stock covers for $100. And if you're worried about the custom-painted C8 engine cover not fitting properly, these are genuine GM parts so they will fit the C8 Corvette perfectly. Each order currently takes around three weeks to fulfill. In addition to the engine covers, the company also sells custom exterior parts for the C8 Corvette including a front bumper grille bezel and a side trim package that adds new door handles and rear quarter brake scoop moldings.
