A fairly accurate vehicular Simpsons tribute.
Remember when The Simpsons was actually edgy social commentary? It’s ok if you don’t, that was a long time ago and even those episodes seem a bit tame today. But the folks at Porcubimmer Motors obviously have fond memories of those days, and their car for this year’s 24 Hours of LeMons will be a reproduction of The Homer, a car designed by Homer Simpson in an episode which aired all the way back in 1991, during the show’s second season.
The rear bubble for the kids, the horn that plays “La Cucaracha” and the bowling trophy hood ornament, the LeMons car is actually quite faithful to the original. Even the “BORT” license plate is a Simpsons reference, albeit from a different episode.
