Five of the soccer superstar's flash cars, worth over half-a-million pounds, are being put up for sale. According to sources close to the family, the cars are simply gathering dust in the UK at his home, Beckingham Palace, while he spends most of his time playing football and partying in LA. Two Bentleys, a BMW 645, a Range Rover Sport and his £170,000 Lamborghini Gallardo are all in the firing line. A trio of Harley-Davidson motorbikes is also getting the chop.

After starting out driving a Ford Escort to training at Manchester United, 'Becks' or 'Goldenballs' has spent a fortune on his excessively lavish car collection, which includes Cadillacs, Porsches, Bentleys and a Hummer. Just last year he flogged his Porsche 911 Carrera on eBay for £136,000, and in 2005 he unloaded his BMW M3 for £90,000 having bought it for just £44,000 in 1997. Given the Beckham collection adds a significant premium to the sale price, the collection up for sale could far exceed the £500,000 the cars are valued at.

That said, it's still unclear whether Becks has personalized any of the cars up for sale. Adding his squad number 23 has been common practice, appearing stitched onto the seats or printed on the center caps. It's unknown where and when Beckham's cars will be sold, but as soon as it's made public expect plenty of media coverage.
