The De Macross GT1 doesn't have a particularly distinctive look. The design seems to be the product of someone who had a lot of GT40 (and at least a couple Ferrari) posters growing up. But here is why you shouldn't care: The 5.4-liter Roush Yates supercharged V8 and all 800 of its horses will take the GT1 up to 60mph in 3.4 seconds and through the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds. Not only that, but quite a bit of Formula 1 technology has gone into the GT1.
The suspension in particular is more or less straight off an F1 car, and has separate street and track setups which are equally formidable. So it seems De Macross was more interested in making the GT1 distinctive to drive than they were in making it distinctive to look at, and that's fine with us. Oh, and the De Macross is from Canada, so if you ever wanted to make a joke about a supercar that runs on maple syrup, now's your chance.
