A quarter century since "Back to the Future" debuted, we may not have our hoverboards and flying cars, though some are still hoping a change in the space-time continuum will alter that reality by the time 2015 rolls around. Unfortunately time has not been kind to the original DeLorean time machine that featured in the trilogy, but a dedicated team has been undertaking a comprehensive restoration for the past several months to bring the stainless steel wonder back to its original 1985 condition.

The project is being led by Joe Walser and Terry Matalas with support from producer Bob Gale and Universal Studios. No bolt or circuit is being overlooked as they collect original parts from generous fans. We recently interviewed the team and have feature in the works, but in the meantime you can see the project's progress in this video clip.
