Ashlee Vance, a business writer and author, is making waves with his new book "Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX and the Quest for a Fantastic Future." Those waves are crashing on Musk himself, especially the story of the Tesla founder scolding an employee via email for skipping a company event to watch his wife give birth. "That is no excuse. I am extremely disappointed. You need to figure out where your priorities are. We're changing the world and changing history, and you either commit or you don't."

Musk took to Twitter to refute the allegation and 22 choice quotes that were included in the book. The entrepreneur reportedly told investors he was like a samurai in that he would either succeed or commit seppuku. Musk claims the book wasn't independently fact-checked and that it "should be taken w a grain of salt." Elon Musk is famous for being a workaholic, a trait often attached to visionaries, but telling someone to skip childbirth for work seems a bit extreme. As suggested it should be taken with a grain of salt until more information is revealed.
