Diesel Dragsters Running 140lbs Of Boost

That’s more than two Verne Troyers worth of boost.

Big diesel engines have some numbers which can sometimes sound insane to those more used to automotive engines, 26:1 compression being a good example. One of the only other things which provokes this kind of reaction is a top fuel dragster. But what about a diesel dragster? Well, it turns out that those are pretty nuts too, and we’ve got a video to prove it. Included is a bit of footage with the driver talking about the car.

It is revealed that the giant turbocharger strapped to the engine is cranking out a whopping 140 pounds of boost. Incredible.
