One of the stars of the 2012 SEMA Show was DMC's special edition Lamborghini Aventador. But while the Italian supercar was taking all the plaudits it seems the German aftermarket specialist was hard at work creating a new package for a Ferrari F430 Scuderia. The project is called "Carbonio," which doesn't take a linguistic genius to work out involves the liberal application of carbon fiber. DMC's initial pictures hint at what's to come for the supercar, most notably the front bumper that has already received the carbon-fiber treatment.

We can also see the front lip, aka "the Sword" that fits snuggly in the bumper, has been sorted in the lightweight material. Plenty more is expected of the fledgling project, especially with regards the 4.3-liter V8 that will hopefully see a significant rise in output from its current potential of 483 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque. For now enjoy these pictures and look forward to the finished article in the not so distant future.
