DMC Unveils McLaren 12C Velocita Wind Edition

More carbon fiber and power boosted to 660 hp.

McLaren may have replaced the 12C with the 650S, but the outgoing model remains popular with the aftermarket community. Case in point: German supercar tuner DMC has just unveiled its Velocita Wind Edition. Updating its 12C Velocita package introduced last year, the Wing Edition boasts a new front bumper with spoiler lip, F1-style canards and center sword, a new diffuser with lightweight spoiler, and side skirts.

The name refers to the addition of a new rear wing that channels the wind flow from the updated roof-mounted scoop. Carbon-fiber inserts, a titanium exhaust and Italian leather upholstery represent other styling upgrades. DMC also remapped the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8’s ECU, boosting output from 592 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque to 660 hp and 502 lb-ft. The model pictured here was shot in Cannes, France, and is owned by a Saudi Arabian client.
