If you were excited by the idea of a 707-hp Challenger, then you're going to love this latest bit of gossip: Chrysler plans to offer the same hot-rod Hellcat supercharged engine with the Charger. And it could be with us as early as this fall. Earlier this year, Dodge unveiled a significant refresh of the Charger full-size sedan. In its most potent configuration, the Charger R/T serves up 370 hp and 395 lb-ft courtesy of a 5.7-liter HEMI V8.

But if recent reports are to be believed, a 707-hp Hellcat-powered Charger is on the horizon ready to take on the likes of the S63 AMG and other hi-po sedans. Now that's a comparison test we would love to see.
