Dodge Dart Blacktop Drops in Ahead of Detroit

The smallest member of the Dodge family finally receives the Blacktop love.

Dodge will unveil the Dart SXT Blacktop edition next week at the Detroit Auto Show as it expands the line of Blacktop special editions beyond the Avenger, Challenger, Charger, Durango, Grand Caravan and Journey. Exterior features on the Dart Blacktop include gloss black 18-inch alloys, gloss black mirrors and crosshair grille, and darkened headlight bezels. Available exterior colors include Redline Red, Header Orange and Billet Silver.

Inside, the Blacktop package adds a Black/Ruby Red or Black/Light Tungsten cloth interior with red accent stitching on the instrument panel, center console and seat bolsters. The Dart SXT on which the Blacktop is based comes with a 2.4-liter engine rated at 184 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. The $295 package is available on models equipped with the Rallye Appearance Group.
