Being a brand ambassador sounds like a sweet gig. You are employed to act as a spokesperson for the company, showing off products and increasing brand awareness. This role sounds especially cool when it's for an automaker like Dodge. The American automaker announced a nationwide search to find its next brand ambassador, who will be given the title of Chief Donut Maker (no, we aren't making that up). This person won't find themselves sitting in a kitchen frying up dough, but rather out on the streets doing smokey donuts in a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Out of more than 173,500 applicants, Dodge narrowed it down to just 10 finalists. These 10 Mopar enthusiasts will compete for the "greatest automotive job in the world" in a three-part reality-show-style web series featuring celebrity guests like champion wrestler Bill Goldberg. Other guest stars include Joey Wells and Will "Spank" Horton from Kevin Hart's Muscle Car Crew, NHRA champion Matt Hagan, and sportscaster Katie Osborne.

The first episode in the series just aired on DodgeGarage.com and YouTube. In it, Goldberg grilles the 10 finalists on why they love the Dodge brand and what it would mean for them to become the first Chief Donut Maker. Future episodes will pit the contestants against each other in a live screen test and racing a Dodge horsepower heavyweight at the Radford Racing School.

"This exhaustive, one-of-a-kind process to find our chief donut maker, the person who will help lead the automotive industry's most engaged automotive fan base into its electrified future, is now coming to its dramatic conclusion," said Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis.

"While our top 10 candidates have shown they have what it takes to make the first cut, there can be only one chief donut maker. Now our finalists will be put in high-pressure scenarios, beyond burnouts and donuts, to prove that they possess the power to represent the world's purest performance brand as the ultimate brand ambassador for the Brotherhood of Muscle."

The Chief Donut Maker will be announced on Hemi Day (April 26, 2022). This day, 4-26, is a reference to the legendary 426 cubic-inch Hemi V-8 engine, built from 1964 to 1971. Becoming the Dodge's first Chief Donut Maker is an honor in itself, but the role comes with more tangible perks. The job includes a $150,000 check, a custom wardrobe, and a Dodge Hellcat company car. "Greatest automotive job in the world" sounds pretty apt.
