If you've been on the fence about buying a 2019 Dodge Charger, Challenger, or Durango, now is the time to act because these high-performance machines are now more accessible than ever. Dodge has announced a new incentive scheme it calls "Dodge Power Dollars" that rewards enthusiasts who want the most horsepower. Here's how it works.

Starting from August 1, customers across the US who buy any 2019 Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger or Dodge Durango will get a $10 per horsepower cash allowance. So the more horsepower you have under the hood, the more money you save.

Every 2019 Dodge Challenger, Charger and Durango is eligible for the offer, ranging from SXT and GT models with the Pentastar V6 and available all-wheel-drive capability to the range-topping Dodge Durango SRT SUV, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, and the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

The latter is the most powerful car in Dodge's current lineup with 797 horsepower on tap, which gives you a generous cash allowance of $7,970. You can also get $4,850 off the Challenger R/T Scat Pack, $7,070 off the Charger Hellcat, and $4,750 off the Durango SRT. Even buying the entry-level 293-hp Durango SXT will save you $2,930.

"Since bringing the Charger and Challenger back to market, Dodge has put 485 million horsepower into the hands of our loyal enthusiasts," said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. "Dodge has more horsepower than anyone else, and we want to share it and give those who have always wanted more the ability to get more. The goal is to grow to a half-billion horsepower before the end of the year. This is what we believe John and Horace Dodge would want us to do."

Dodge will start to promote its new Power Dollars incentive this week in a 30-second spot airing across TV, digital and Dodge social channels.
