This is the final, FINAL teaser.
Dodge continues to tease its upcoming Last Call special edition model, which will debut on March 20, 2023, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Based on the previous teaser videos in the series, we expect this to be the most outrageous Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat model ever produced from the factory. In the latest teaser, titled 'Trip Wire,' we are given the "final clue to the DNA of the ultimate Dodge vehicle."
The video shows the same creepy leprechaun character that was shown previously, this time jumping out of a helicopter above Las Vegas. The leprechaun then checks his watch, which shows a 140 mph speed, before he leans forward and starts accelerating toward the ground as the speedometer blurs. Could this point to some sort of boost function? It's a bit unclear.
Piecing together previous clues, we can assume that the final Last Call model will have a 215 mph top speed possible with 1,582 horsepower. If this is correct, the 140 mph speed shown on this latest teaser seems rather low.
Other teasers hinted at higher boost pressure than a standard Hellcat from the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8. It could use the same supercharger from the Demon, which would provide the additional boost necessary to make this the most powerful car Dodge has ever produced, likely running on E85 fuel.
With the reveal just days away, this should be the final teaser (though we said that last time). This will be the last Challenger in the current generation before the all-electric successor is announced. Dodge will say goodbye to internal combustion, as the Charger and Challenger models exit production after the 2023 model year. We will be sad to see them go, but after nearly two decades on sale, it's time for Dodge to move on.
Stay tuned next Monday for the big reveal from Dodge.
