Halloween is just a few days away and it's the perfect opportunity to celebrate some of the most delightfully terrifying cars on the road. Heck, even Rolls-Royce is planning to reveal a special Black Badge version of the Ghost sedan in time for Halloween. But an automaker that's perhaps even more closely associated with sending chills down your spine is Dodge. Fittingly, the company has just taken the covers off two new packages that couldn't be more appropriately timed. They're called the HEMI Orange and SRT Black appearance packages, and they'll be offered for both the 2022 Challenger and 2022 Charger.

The HEMI Orange appearance package is said to be inspired by the early-era, orange-painted look of the iconic HEMI engine. Offered on the Charger and Challenger GT RWD and Scat Pack Widebody models, the package adds striking orange tracer tape to the exterior. It also gets orange badging accents, orange brake calipers, and wheels in either Medium Gloss Black or Carbon Black "Warp Speed". The orange theme continues inside with orange stitching on the seats, doors, flat-bottom leather steering wheel, and other components. The Scat Pack Widebody also has an orange-and-black "392" instrument panel badge. The orange contrasts nicely with blacked-out interior elements like the steering wheel bezels and cupholder rings.

The SRT Black appearance package is offered for the Charger and Challenger on SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye models. Both the Charger SRT and Challenger SRT have Black Nickel exhaust tips, plus SRT Hellcat badging is in Midnight Grey Metallic.

The SRT Black appearance package has an MSRP of $695 and will be available for ordering in the fourth quarter of 2021. As for the HEMI Orange appearance package, it costs $2,995 for the GT RWD but that includes the Performance Handling pack. The Orange pack is $1,500 on the Scat Pack Widebody.

According to Dodge, the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T and R/T Tow N Go will also be offered with the HEMI Orange upgrade in the first quarter of 2022.

"The HEMI Orange and SRT Black packages offer two distinctive appearance options for the 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger," said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand CEO. "Performance-vehicle owners are unique, and these two packages offer our customers the chance to stand out even more on the street."

The packages are likely to extend the Dodge Challenger's lead as the best-selling muscle car in America right now.
