Back in 2013, Nissan hit the Nurburgring and blew the world away by demonstrating its GT-R Nismo lapping the 12.9-mile track in just 7 minutes and 8 seconds. For reference, this destroys the Porsche 918 Spyder and Lexus LFA Nurburgring package. The fact that this is a high-volume production car with a 592-hp twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 that bests the competition in terms of price by at least a couple hundred thousand dollars is what makes this feat all the more impressive.

But Nissan isn't finished yet as its latest teaser shows. In the video, a racing glove-covered hand unboxes a Nissan with decals reading "World Record Challenge" and an intentionally obscure video title reading "World Record Coming Soon."

We have no idea what kind of record Nissan is talking about, but we're assuming that it might include a less than legal version of the Nissan GT-R Nismo. Either way, we can at least glimpse an aggressive looking body kit to make what looks like a lighter and more aerodynamic GT-R. No mention on when Nissan will drop the big news, but whenever it is, be sure to keep your head on your shoulders.
