Aside from a new diesel powertrain, the newly redesigned Nissan Titan did little to get us excited. Nissan must have heard us because the company has just revealed the Titan Warrior Concept. The Warrior Concept is based on the 2016 Titan XD but is wider by six inches and taller by almost four inches. Like the new Ford F-150 Raptor, the Warrior Concept features a highly upgraded suspension with custom-designed shocks that allow for long travel while off-roading, and a comfortable ride on the road.

Nissan calls the new styling "Modern Armor." The flared fenders and angular headlights give the Warrior an aggressive look that definitely fits the "Modern Armor" name. A front skid plate adds to the aggressive front end and the matte paint job with orange accents gives the Titan a sporty look. The Warrior Concept will retain the 5.0-liter Cummins V8 turbo-diesel found in the Titan XD and good for 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. Nissan has not announced any plans to produce the Warrior Concept, however the automaker did say that non-XD Titans are on the way featuring a new gas-powered "Endurance" V8 with 390 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque sending power through a seven-speed automatic.
