Army-ready appearance and upgraded performance push this TT to the recruiting station.
Since the unveiling of the latest Audi TT, the sports car's appearance has become far more pleasing to the eye, while its performance – especially in the TTS version – has certainly improved over previous generations. But for HG-Motorsports, the current TTS functions as a blank canvas for the firm's latest creation. And while its performance upgrades are quite modest, the HG-Motorsports TTS is nothing of the sort. With 26 extra horsepower, the manic military look is now complemented by 336 hp and 314 lb-ft of torque.
But the bulk of the work has occurred on the car's exterior, which was given a new carbon-fiber air box with a Pipercross filter. It also received an EGO-X stainless steel exhaust system by Bull-X, a KW coil-over suspension and 20-inch Schmidt alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook S1 Evo tires. But despite all these goodies, nothing is more in-your-face apparent than its completely insane wrap, a camouflage print of red, black and several shades of gray. We doubt this would be up to military spec of any army on this planet, but is it enough to make you lust for what is, after all, just an Audi TT?
