380-hp lightweight sports car will hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.
Ahead of its introduction early next year, Dutch boutique sports carmaker Donkervoort has teased a new, limited-edition model dubbed the D8 GTO Blister Berg Edition. With deliveries starting last year, the D8 GTO comes powered by Audi’s 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine, with up to 380 hp on tap. This, combined with a 1,500-lb curb weight thanks to its minimalist design and carbon-fiber body, enables the car to hit 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
The D8 GTO actually set a new lap record for street-legal production cars at the Bilster Berg circuit, hence the creation of this special edition model in honor of that achievement. Doonkervoort claims it will come with a unique front fascia, new “nose,” and a host of “developments and updates.” Production will be limited to 14 units.
