A German tuning firm celebrates its birthday as well as that of the 1973 Porsche 911 RS 2.7 with a retro-styled kit for the 964 911.
German aftermarket tuning outfit DP Motorsport is celebrating its 40th birthday as well as that of the classic Porsche 911 RS. To mark the special occasions, the company decided to do something very special in the form of a retro conversion kit for the 964-generation 911 that’s been styled to resemble the classic RS 2.7. Cosmetically, the kit includes a new hood, front and rear bumpers, fenders, side sills and a rear spoiler. The exterior is painted in a classic sports grey with Indian Red trim.
Also added is a polished stainless steel tailpipe and a new lens cover for the turn signal indicator and grille. For a further dose of retro goodness, buyers can also opt for a set of throwback Fuchs wheels. Under the hood, the tuner increased output of the 3.6-liter flat-six from 250 horsepower to 280. Other mechanical improvements include a modern suspension, ABS, power brakes and steering, a catalytic converter and air conditioning. For the mechanical and cosmetic updates, DP Motorsport is offering its conversion kit for 6,828 Euros and an additional 2,236 Euros for the wheels.
