Exotic supercars such as the Ferrari F8 Tributo are machines built for driving fast, whether that's on your favorite section of canyon backroad, or on a drag strip. Either way, these cars are designed to tingle the senses and get the heart racing. In this latest drag racing video, we see a Ferrari F8 Tributo line up against a Porsche 922 Turbo S Cabriolet for an all or nothing drag race.

In the world of supercars, these two are closely matched with surprisingly similar performance figures, but as we all know, there can be only one winner, and the results might surprise you.

Firstly, let's look at the cars. The Ferrari F8 Tributo is powered by a gorgeous-sounding 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a massive 710 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 568 lb-ft of torque at 3250 rpm. Power is sent to the rear via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and this car will sprint to sixty in only 2.9 seconds and carry on to a top speed of 211 mph.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S cabrio on the other hand delivers a less impressive 640 hp and 590 lb-ft from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter boxer-six, but does a better job of laying down the power. The German will sprint to sixty in only 2.7 seconds, and top out at 199 mph.

So, on to the race! In round one, the flag drops and both cars nail the launch, with the Ferrari having a better reaction time. The Porsche still manages to sneak ahead up until third gear, after which the F8 Tributo starts to walk away. The power advantage and its slippery shape clearly play a big role in this race.

For round two the Porsche is left sleeping at the lights as the Ferrari takes an early lead. As with the first race, the Ferrari simply obliterates the Porsche on the straight. The stats show a 0-60 mph time of three seconds, a 0-100 mph time of six seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 11 seconds at 137.7 mph. The Porsche managed a 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds, 0-100 mph in 6.1 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 11.1 seconds.

Maybe next time Porsche.
