It's pretty rare but sometimes the forces at work on a car that is going very fast can make that car suddenly take flight, seemingly for no reason at all. It happened rather famously to a Mercedes-Benz CLR at Le Mans in 1999, doing several midair flips before landing to the side of the track. This video shows something pretty similar happening to a Lexus ISF drag car at the Bahrain International Circuit. The driver is fine, although it must have been quite a harrowing experience.
