Drifting Japan's Hakone Mountain Turnpike in a Nissan R35 GT-R is as Awesome as it Sounds

Sideways on a mountain is the new Gymkhana.

Although they have now spread to the entire world, drifting and the mountain road racing form known as "touge" got their start as primarily Japanese inventions. And although combining the two isn't quite so unquestionably Japanese, it still seems most appropriate there. So it comes as no surprise that the following video of Kawabata Masato and his drift GT-R is absolutely stunning. Of course, it helps that the scenery is beautiful.

If this is the new trend in drifting videos, we are strongly in favor of it.
