Who would have guessed that one of the most awesome driving roads would be found in New Zealand. Called the Crown Range Road, it runs 10.4 kilometers around 47 corners through the mountains. It used to be the main highway between Queenstown and Wanaka, but now it's a destination for driving enthusiasts. So what do you do with a road like that? You drift it, of course! And that's just what Kiwi drifter Mike Whiddett has done after Red Bull convinced the government to close down the road for the first time.

Fortunately Whiddett has just the right machine for the job: a custom Mazda RX7 drift car with a quad-rotor engine kicking out 750 horsepower of tire-smoking, sideways driving muscle. But that's enough talk: check out the action in the video below.
