If you're a gearhead, when you see a rare exotic supercar out on the public road your natural instinct is to whip out your phone and start filming. It would be impolite not to. This van driver in Uruguay took things a little too far, however. He was so eager to film the custom Pagani Zonda F in front, that he clambered out of the moving van to get the perfect shot. The rare exotic brakes suddenly, and…you know the rest. Yes, the distracted driver slams into the back of it.

Rear-ending another car is embarrassing enough. But crashing into a rare exotic takes it to another level – particularly when it's one of only 25 existing examples in the world. The pained reaction of the passing driver sums up our feelings.

Fortunately, we don't have to mourn the loss of a Zonda F just yet – photos show that the damage is relatively minor, but the parts won't be cheap to replace. It will need a new rear bumper and quad tailpipes, for starters. The Zonda F is something of a rarity, as only 25 examples were made. Each car is made to the customer's unique specification and boasts a host of aerodynamic refinements, including a larger carbon fiber rear wing and a rear diffuser. It's powered by a 7.3-liter, V12 AMG engine that produces 800 horsepower and 550 lb-ft. You have to feel sorry for the driver. According to Autoblog.com.ar, the Zonda F is owned by businessman Jorge Gomez.

It took him eleven years to save up to buy his pride and joy, and it's registered in Paraguay because he can't legally drive it in his home country of Argentina. Poor guy.
