Yep, that's a BMW i8 driving through a flood.
A torrential downpour overnight triggered flash floods in Bangkok, leaving commuters facing a nightmare journey to get across the Thai capital. As if traffic wasn’t bad enough in the Big Mango, flooded roads lead to cars stalling, motorbikes choking and total gridlock with vehicles and pedestrians knee-deep in filthy runoff. Amongst the cars that fell victim to the five-hour non-stop thunderstorm, which toppled trees and power poles, was a BMW i8 that amazingly braved the flooding.
While city dwellers vented their anger on social media regarding city officials’ lack of preparation to deal with the yearly wet season, Bangkok’s governor avoided the storm and flood as he is currently in the Netherlands studying drainage systems.
