Driving Through A Raging, Flooded River Is The World's Worst Idea

What happens next won't surprise you.

Flooding and driving are usually mutually exclusive as flooded roads often turn cars into submarines. However, if you just have to see what’s on the other side of the road, why not go for it and see what happens? Well, what sometimes happens is this: Your car gets ruthlessly swept away. According to Reddit, where this video was shared, this incident happened in South Africa. We don’t know when or where, but the video description says the driver survived, which is good. The car doesn’t seem so lucky.

It’s astonishing to watch this four-door get swept up so quickly by the rushing water. For a second it looks like there might be a chance at a safe crossing, but things devolve pretty quickly. Next time just build a bridge or wait it out, guy.
