Dropping A Car From A Crane Is The Craziest Way To Ruin An F1 Race

There's something you don't see every day.

A crane dropping a car onto a race track sounds too crazy to actually happen, but that’s exactly what went down this past weekend in Monaco. A bunch of classic F1 cars from 1973-1976 were participating in a vintage race when a disabled McLaren was dropped from its crane and onto the track. Chaos broke out for a few seconds as the safety car was unable to get ahead of the pack. Luckily no one was injured, although two cars did bump into each other with one wrecking. Still, could have been worse, at least for the drivers.

Even if you aren’t an F1 fan, the pure absurdity of this video makes it a must-watch. Seriously, this sounds like a rejected action sequence in “Fast 8.” F. Gary Gray, please don’t steal our idea.
