DRT: 1,500hp Lambo Gallardo vs. 1,000hp Nissan GT-R

Drag Race

It’s a battle of tuned beasts on this week’s edition of Drag Race Tuesdays.

The first thing you might take from the title of this week's edition of Drag Race Tuesdays is the dramatic disparity in horsepower between these two competitors. Fear not, as the 1,500-horsepower Underground Racing Lamborghini Gallardo Nera faces an incredibly tough opponent in the Boostlogic's 1,000-hp Nissan GT-R with 1,000hp. The Underground Racing Lamborghini Gallardo was featured on CarBuzz at the beginning of last month.

Owner Dmitry Samorukov set a new Moscow Unlim top speed of 251 mph running on VP Q16 fuel. The twin-turbocharged engine can crank out 1,500 hp to its four wheels from its ferocious plant. Even more impressive is that UR's masterpiece has a total output measured around 1,700-1,800 hp. The Nissan GT-R, meanwhile, is known as a supercar killer. And with Boostlogic's impressive 1,000-hp tuning program for Godzilla's infamous 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6, not many cars on Earth can compete with its sheer power and acceleration off the line.

It's a close one on this week's edition of Drag Race Tuesdays. Can the Boostlogic Nissan GT-R hold off the incredibly powerful Lamborghini Gallardo, or is Underground Racing's twin-turbo kit too much for Godzilla to handle? Place your bets now and check out all the action in the video below.
