Performance tuner edo competition has just launched their latest creation, the Mercedes-Benz SLR Black Arrow. Beginning with the obvious SLR coupe, the work consisted of much more than the new flat black paint job. Besides the new stainless steel high-performance exhaust system, EDO has added new 21-inch racing wheels wearing high-performance tires and the supercharged V8 now produces 722 hp at 7100 rpm and 656 lb-ft of torque.
According to the tuner, this was achieved by modifying the drive ratio along with an ECU remap. There's also a revised intake system, new exhaust headers, high flow catalytic converters, and new air filters that help the engine breath better. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and has an electronically controlled top speed of 214 mph. The interior features bucket seats with Alcantara/leather trim, an Alcantara covered steering wheel, and customized carbon fiber pieces on the dashboard, center console, and door panels.
There's also a customized sound system that features navigation, phone, TV, and iPod integration. No official pricing has been announced.
