The modern Mini brand has recently celebrated a major milestone as it reached two decades on the market, and with rumors of more new vehicles coming, the British automaker is showing no signs of slowing down. While the brand has built its reputation on great handling and chic styling, the future will require a focus on electrification. That has started to come into focus with projects like the Pacesetter, but while we wait for a roadgoing electric hot hatch, we have the warmed up Cooper Electric EV to enjoy, a car that Mini has just released a range of accessories for.

Thanks to roof rails in matt black being offered from the factory, the electric Hardtop can support the fitment of various accessories that are already available on the regular, gas-powered Cooper. Among these are things like the railing rack that is a retrofit product enabling the fitment of a roof box. This can fit extra luggage and even skis, thanks to a length of around 74 inches. The box is finished in black and offers around 11.3 cubic feet of volume, enhancing practicality for the compact hatch. Yet the rails still offer enough space to fit a bicycle alongside the roof box and includes a lockable clamping system and two tension straps. Other add-ons available for the roof rails include ski racks and an aluminum luggage basket.

Inside, the Cooper Electric has the option of the model-specific Travel & Comfort System, which features "a basic carrier that can be firmly mounted between the headrest rails of the driver's or front passenger's seat." With this, you can attach other items like tablet holders for digital screens with a diameter of between seven and 11 inches, hangers, or universal hooks for bags. You also fit a folding table to this carrier, which can be adjusted in both height and inclination. This table features a foldable cupholder too, helping you make the most of the space in the car. So practicality of the electric Cooper can easily be enhanced - now we just wait for its performance to get upgraded too.
