Even billionaires like Elon Musk need to spend some quality time with the family. But instead of jetting it to some exotic vacation spot, the Tesla founder and CEO has decided to take his five boys on a cross-country road trip in a Model S. Musk has reportedly finalized plans for the six-day, 3,200-mile Clark Griswold inspired adventure that will not only be a great bonding time for father and sons but also to prove that the all-electric Model S can handle long-distance travel.

Thanks to the ever growing supercharger network Tesla has been setting up across the country, Musk wants to prove it's possible that the Model S, or any future Tesla model, won't crap out on anyone as long as its battery gets the required juice. CNN Money reports that the Musk family journey will likely take them through South Dakota and Minnesota where Tesla has recently added supercharging stations. Musk stated the trip will happen at the end of this year and that all five of his young sons (a set of twins and a set of triplets!) will fit in the seven-seat Model S. A stop at Wally World should also be on the itinerary.
