Chevrolet has just announced a new "Lead Dream Chaser" initiative, where one lucky fan can chase their dream or complete their passion project. The winner will be given $100,000 plus access to the completely redesigned 2024 Chevrolet Trax for three months. As a reminder, the Trax is all-new for the 2024 model year, with fresh styling, more space inside, and an affordable entry price of just $21,495.
Anyone interested in entering can submit a video on ChevyDreamChaser.com detailing how the Trax will help them complete their passion project or help their community. Applicants must also specify how they will document their story on social media.
Chevy says it will announce finalists in March and select a winner in April. The 30-day submission period opens Friday, January 13, 2023.
Everette Taylor, the CEO of Kickstarter, will help choose a winner for the $100,000 prize to serve as Chevy's Lead Dream Chaser. Taylor is experienced with helping others achieve their goals, as Kickstarter's goal is to crowdsource passion projects. "The past few years have caused many to consider turning their ideas and ambitions into reality, and I'm excited to help Chevy find a qualified person who will pursue their dream," he said.
"We look forward to reviewing the submissions and following along the journey of the Lead Dream Chaser," said Steve Majoros, chief marketing officer, Chevrolet. "The all-new Chevy Trax has everything you need to pursue your passion in style, so we encourage every dreamer to check it out."
As a reminder, the 2024 Trax comes with a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine producing a modest 137 horsepower. Power goes out to the front wheels only through a six-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the base model gets an eight-inch touchscreen, and there's an available 11-inch screen on higher-end trims. Even the top ACTIV and 2RS trims cap out at $24,995, making the Trax a tremendous value for buyers looking for affordable transportation.
The 2024 Trax arrives at dealerships in Spring 2023.
