Wealthy soccer players have plenty of disposable income to spend on exotic cars. Cristiano Ronaldo was able to buy the Bugatti Centodieci for $9 million and still have a chunk of change left. But sometimes soccer stars don't need to spend a single cent on their new car.

Hyundai recently became the official partner of the Atletico Madrid team and awarded every player with a free Hyundai Tucson. Now, BMW has announced a multi-year partnership with the AC Milan Italian soccer club to become the team's new Automotive Partner and Premium Partner. Naturally, this means that every player on the team will get free access to a BMW car of their choice.

We suspect the X7 luxury SUV and new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe will be among the most popular new rides for AC Milan's players. Being the most expensive model in BMW's current lineup with a $157,800, we also won't be surprised if some players opt for the M760i xDrive Sedan. BMW has awarded free M cars to MotoGP champions in the past, but this is the first time the German automaker has partnered with a soccer team.

"Welcoming an internationally recognized brand and an excellence in the automotive industry such as BMW to our family of Premium Partners gives us great pride," said AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni. "BMW, much like AC Milan, is a synonym for excellence, style and innovation, so we are truly delighted to embark on this journey and head toward a progressive and sustainable future together, for the benefit of all."

BMW's Italian branch will work with AC Milan to organize exclusive events, showcase new models, and promote the soccer team. Details about the partnership are scarce, but BMW Italy's President and CEO, Massimiliano Di Silvestre, says it will go "beyond the technical aspects of a traditional partnership, by pooling some aspirational values of our brands, in order to be more authentic."

Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, added: "AC Milan and BMW are two global icons with a legendary heritage, a shared vision and a future to design together. Strategically, this partnership represents a very important moment in the Club's growth path that will allow to engage and excite millions of sports fans all over the world by leveraging on the strength of the two brands".
