A couple of short months ago, Honda announced that it would be reviving one of its most famous nameplates, one that, in its heyday, appealed to young and old, fast and curious. We're talking about the Honda or Acura Integra, a vehicle that was as likely to feature in a Fast & Furious film as in the parking lot of the local Bingo club. Following that early teaser, we immediately got to work putting together our ideas for what we hoped the Integra would be like, and the good news is that many of them have already been confirmed. So let's see what we can look forward to and where we might find disappointment.

Confirmed recently, we know that the Acura Integra will be a five-door hatchback, almost like a scaled-down, more affordable fastback four-door coupe. That should help give the Integra a more premium look and feel than before, helping it appeal to more than just youngsters in the tuner scene and grandmas in the knitting business. With intricate yet elegant lighting elements at each end of the vehicle, subtle cues to sportiness like the roof-mounted brake light and trunk lip spoiler, and the typical value you expect from a Honda-made product, the 2023 Acura Integra will be as beautiful and elegant as a touch of rouge on a model's cheek. However, with the news that there could be multiple body styles, we may have to prepare for the possibility that bean-counters may see value in the Integra becoming a crossover too.

In the time since the official announcement back in August, Acura has kept very mum on the details of the new car. Fortunately, a little more than a week on from the Integra's first teaser being released, we exclusively reported that a Type S version would be coming. It will adopt the same "Less Talk. More Drive." mantra as other Type S models currently available, and we assume that it will be plenty of fun to get behind the wheel of.

While we can speculate over design based on teasers and give you a good preview of what to expect through our renders, powertrains are still a mystery. Will the Integra Type S get a detuned Civic Type R 2.0-liter turbo-four? Will it be a hybrid? Will it be all-electric? We don't know yet, but we'll be the first to tell you when we do.
