Exposed: Piecha Design Mercedes SL Avalange GT-R

Has nothing to do with the Nissan, but looks banging nonetheless.

German tuner Piecha has just released these photos of its visual and performance modifications for the Mercedes-Benz SL. Hardly hard on the eyes in its factory spec, this Avalange GT-R gets some spanking external upgrades to the stock car’s beautiful body. These include a new front bumper with incorporated brake-cooling ducts, a prominent grille and new splitter, and a new, lower rear bumper in addition to a rear spoiler.

On the side, there are new vinyl nameplates and blacked-out side-skirts in addition to new wheels and yellow brake calipers. The Germans have yet to disclose what performance upgrades the Avalange GT-R- which is due for official unveiling at this week’s Geneva Motor Show- will include. The GT-R moniker, however, conjures up images of our favorite Nissan, and so we hope to see some interesting performance output from this looker.
