Mini has announced three new special editions that will be available across the entire 2023 model range. The Resolute Edition, Untold Edition, and Untamed Edition will each offer a unique persona and boast their own distinctive personalities. This isn't the first time the British marque has offered special editions - far from it, in fact. Just last year, the Shadow Edition and Countryman Boardwalk Edition provided customers with more exclusive renditions of these chic cars.

Resolute Edition will be available on the Cooper Hardtop two- and four-door, Convertible, and SE electric variants. The Untold Edition is reserved for the Clubman and its high-performance derivative, the 301-horsepower John Cooper Works model. Lastly, the rugged-looking Countryman (including the ALL4 plug-in hybrid model) gains the Untamed Edition.

Each version boasts model-specific styling details, unique paint finishes, and wheels, complemented by exclusive trimmings for the interior and exterior.

Resolute Edition models gain Rebel Green paintwork, a privilege previously reserved for the sportiest John Cooper Works variant. Hardtops receive a Pepper White-painted roof with matching mirror caps while the Convertible receives a black soft top and black-finished mirror caps. The exclusive Resolute Bronze shade has been liberally applied, coating the headlight, rear light, and grille surrounds, plus door handles, the fuel filler cap, and a few other items. While the Hardtop and Cabriolet receive striking, black-painted 18-inch Pulse Spoke wheels, the SE receives smaller 17-inch items.

Matching gold stripes flow over the hood and are repeated in the cabin, where light gold pinstripes flow across the dashboard trim. Funky Black Pearl/Light Chequered seats add a welcome pop of color to the interior and work rather well with the exuberant exterior. Naturally, a Nappa leather steering wheel is standard and comes with a unique edition emblem.

Perhaps the most extroverted of the group, the Clubman Untold Edition is definitely the car to have if you want to stand out from the crowd. The special edition receives, for the first time ever, Sage Green metallic paint and a sportier look in the form of front and rear aprons inspired by the JCW Aerodynamic Kit.

Unusually, the Untold Edition eschews the black-colored lower body sections in favor of a dark green treatment. Additionally, light, narrow stripes run across the hood and roof. The wheel choice won't be to everyone's taste. Striking in design, the Untold Spoke features a polarizing Jet Black/Refined Brass color combo. The latter shade is also repeated on the "Clubman" lettering and grille surround. Elsewhere, a subtler Piano Black is used for the door handles and tailpipes.

The interior receives sports seats trimmed in Sage Green leather, which contrasts nicely with the light-colored seams and piping. If the rather sudden color scheme is not to your liking, Carbon Black trim is also available.

Mini's most rugged offering hasn't been forgotten, with the Untamed Edition. Available for the Cooper S Countryman and the plug-in hybrid MINI Cooper SE Countryman ALL4, the classy-looking Momentum Grey paint is extended to several trim pieces, including the side skirts, reflector inserts, and bits of the rear apron. Four Frozen Bluestone strips are diagonally placed on the side of the vehicle. A two-tone color scheme has been applied to the 18-inch wheels, giving this special edition the most subtle appearance of all the models.

Inside, Mini has taken inspiration from nature, with shades of green and blue dominating the cabin design. An exclusive Highland Green leather is teamed with blue and green contrast stitching and works rather well with the illuminated decorative trim. "Untamed" lettering can be found on the seats and at the bottom of the Nappa leather-trimmed steering wheel.

Prices for the Resolute kick off at $35,900 for the Cooper S two-door model, with the four-door and SE costing an extra $1,000 and $2,000, respectively. The Convertible is the priciest, at $40,400. Untold Editions start at $41,650 for the Clubman S, with the ALL4 derivative priced $2,000 higher. The JCW model will set you back $48,900. Lastly, Untamed Editions have a starting price of $41,900 for the Countryman S, with the S ALL4 and SE ALL4 $2,000 and $5,000 more expensive, respectively.

Mini has always been a brand for the style-conscious and we have no doubt these special edition models will be a hit. However, if the unique styling treatments aren't to your taste, the brand's standard models still offer plenty of character and quirkiness. But if they're all still a touch too modern for you, the British brand has recently released a brilliant initiative; an in-house service that converts classic Minis into electric vehicles, offering you the best of both worlds.
