Although it's nearly 30 years old, the Mercedes-Benz W124 has gone down as one of the German automaker's all-time best sedans. During its lifetime, there was also some performance versions built. These included the 500 E, built from 1990 till 1993 and the E500 in 1994 and 1995. Not only were the cars hand-built, but they were developed with and hand-assembled by Porsche. Power came from a 5.0-liter V8 with 322hp and 354lb-ft of torque. It could go from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 162 mph.

Yes, very impressive. Now enter longtime Mercedes aftermarket tuning firm Brabus. Some of those E500s ended up with Brabus and they gave them some extra special attention. The result was the "6.5", a name attributed to the larger displacement of the V8 after being tuned even more. It was then able to produce 444hp, go from 0 to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph. And in a post originally from Carscoop, one of those "6.5" E500s is up for sale by Brabus themselves. Sadly, few details were given about the car, but the tuner did say that it has just 157 miles on the odometer (that's not a typo).

No information was given regarding model year or pricing, but it's not likely to be cheap. For those who are interested, Brabus requests that inquiries be made directly to them via email or phone.
