There are Audi Quattros and then there are Audi Sport Quattros. It might not sound like an important difference, but it is in fact huge. The Quattro was a cool little sporty car, and a very important milestone for the company. Not a huge volume seller, but Audi sold more than 11,000 of them. The Sport Quattro was the one homologated for Group B rallying. It had tons more horsepower and was stripped down and race ready.

Only 214 units of the Sport Quattro were built, with this one going up for auction next month from RM Auctions. It is expected to go for $350,000-$475,000.
