FAB Designs Separates From The Pack At Geneva With Some Sweet Supercars

FAB Design

If you think that stock supercars are a bit boring, FAB Designs can help.

You may not have heard of Swiss tuning company FAB Design, but they have now become a staple of the Geneva Motor Show. In the past, FAB has created some very unique Mercedes-Benz and McLaren cars. This year it brought both to wow the crowds at Geneva. The craziest vehicle is the new FAB Design VAYU GTR which is based on the McLaren 650S coupe. Although it looks more like a McLaren that just ate a jar of hot sauce! That may sound like an exaggeration, but you won't feel that way once you see these live shots.

The VAYU GTR is named after a Hindu deity who is lord of the winds, and a unique name deserves a unique look. The car features a body kit consisting of a redesigned front bumper, front hood with two air vents and an aerodynamic scoop on the roof. In addition, the front and rear fenders are flared with multiple air intakes and a unique spoiler is fitted in the back. The rear bumper has been completely changed with a new rear diffuser and central exhaust to increase ventilation. A small power increase of 32 hp is also achieved with a new exhaust. To match the widened wheel arches the car also features FAB Design EVOLUTION rims with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires that are 275/25ZR20 in the front and 325/30ZR20 in the back.

In addition to the bonkers McLaren, FAB Designs also brought its new ETHON and AREION which are based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and AMG-GT, respectively. In our opinion these two cars are far less gaudy than the VAYU and really show what FAB Designs can do with Mercedes' products. The ETHON is based on the S63 Coupe, but has the ECU tuned up 50 hp to makes 630 horsepower and an insane 678 lb-ft of torque. The car features aerodynamic enhancements all around and rolls on a three-piece forged set of wheels called Evolution IIs. Improved brakes are also standard, but FAB Designs has not released full details. Saving the best for last, the AREION may be the coolest car that FAB has ever released.

The AREION is based on the already gorgeous AMG-GT. FAB Design has given the car a wider stance with widebody fenders and distinctive air intakes. Like the ETHON, the AREION features custom forged three-piece wheels called EVOLUTION IIIs. The power gains are even more insane on this car. With a new intake section, new control unit configuration, new exhaust system and bigger turbochargers the V8 twin-turbocharged engine produces 700 hp and 756 lb-ft of torque. FAB Designs has shown that it can be definitely be taken seriously in the world of high-priced tuners.
